Act 2, Scene 6; The Rushed Marriage

Prompt A

The marriage between Romeo and Juliet reminds me of the many times I made commitments without thinking them through. The two have a strong love for each other and made the quick decision to get married. A real life example of this was the time I wanted to get a new guitar without any reasoning. I never played it or felt it at all; I just wanted to have it. My parents did not like the guitar I wanted, andsaw other guitars that they thought would fit me better; however, Istill stuck with the choice I made and quickly bought the guitar, like Juliet marrying Romeo.

  2. This is a good connection to Romeo and Juliet's sudden marriage. The two situations were both sudden, both committed, and didn't listen to others.

  3. I like how you connected it to your parents thinking that you would do better with another guitar, this is exactly like what happens in Romeo and Juliet.

  5. You did a good job connecting Romeo and Juliet's situation to your own life. I think your real-life situation is a good comparison.
