Act 3: Scene 1 - A Wild Romeo

Image result for forest fire
This is a picture of a wildfire, which I feel is similar to Romeo's reaction after Tybalt kills Mercutio. Wildfires are crazy, chaotic, and practically uncontrollable. Romeo, after he processes what happened to Mercutio, succumbs to a primal, savage instinct. His one desire is to avenge his friend's death by killing Tybalt, no matter the consequence. Just like a wildfire, there is little anyone can do stop Romeo's actions.

Act 2, Scene 3: The Friar's Decision

Prompt F, Friar's Thinking

Oh boy. That poor Romeo. The young are always so quick about everything, and they cannot wait for even a moment after a thought springs into their head. First Rosaline, and now Juliet. Who next? However, Romeo was very keen to express his love. It seems as if this might be the real thing. But, if there is peace to be made by marrying these two lovers, then it is my duty to officiate the wedding.

Act 1, Scene 1: Interview with the Prince

Prompt B: Interview

Host: Welcome, Prince Escalus. I am sorry to say that this meeting is tainted with the aftermath of the quarrel earlier today.
Prince: Thanks for having me. Unfortunately, those silly subjects of mine seemingly want to fight. This was the fourth time between those two families!
Host: What a shame... Might I ask, why do you think that these two families are such enemies?
Prince: I think it is because they are so alike. They both are rather wealthy, and very alike in manner. However, this likeness seems to breeds discontent and restlessness.
Host: Ah. So, because they are so alike, each family feels the need to assert themselves as the better of the pair?
Prince: Exactly. On top of that, the groups that are actually doing most of the fighting are teenagers, without a hair on their chins. You know how their minds work, they always want to fight!
Host: Very interesting. Thank you for your time, and I can only hope this problem ends soon.

The One Without a Name

The One Without a Name
It all started with a game,
The one without a name.
I played it with some friends,
There seemed to be no end.
We jumped and ran, mindless fun.
My heart was racing, like it had heard the gun.
We were alive, with the energy that only youth and foolishness can bring,
But what happened next, changed everything.
It was my brother, with a weak shot.
The birdie hit the soft green grass, and on came the onslaught.
Everyone dove...with my racket I reached!
Alas, my privacy was breached.
Tali, who was unfortunately named, as she was quite short,
Decided to make the game, into a contact sport.
She was going for the birdie, or so she claims.
Instead, she made my thumb burst into flames.
I had never felt pain so great.
I hope that you can never relate.
I shed oh so many tears that day,
So much that I made a vow,
That I will ultimately,
Make Tali…

PAY.
