Romeo and Friar Lawrence talk about life in this scene. Both seem to agree that life is too short. They say that living can turn sour if you rush through life. Instead, they agree that it's a good idea to live for the sake of living. This seems similar to Jonathan Swift's famous saying, "May you live all the days of your life." Essentially, what the characters agree on is that you must make every day count and enjoy it as if it's your last.
I agree that Romeo thinks that life is too short. This is evident when he loves Juliet and tells her that he wants to marry her right away.
